No. As a member, your only additional cost is the fuel you use.
Yes. Carefree Boat Club provides insurance coverage for all vessels, including third-party liability. Members are generally only responsible for paying the deductible if they damage a boat.
Depending on their membership plan, members enjoy unlimited boating and can get out on the water as often as they’d like—based on availability.
New members can typically start boating within 5 to 14 days of joining.
Reservations can be made 24/7 using our online reservation system, ResNet, up to six months in advance. Members may also book spur-of-the-moment trips by speaking directly with our dock staff.
Depending on the plan type, members may hold up to four advanced reservations in ResNet at any given time. Once a reservation is used, a new one may be made.
Oftentimes, yes. Simply call the dockmaster at your preferred location, and they will let you know what’s available. Spur-of-the-moment bookings do not count toward your advanced reservation limit and work similarly to a "walk-on" round of golf.
Some members can have early departures and after-hours boating, provided it does not interfere with another reservation. Early departures require picking up the keys the evening before, while after-hours boating may require additional training. Please reach out to learn more
Carefree Boat Club members have access to a diverse fleet of boats ranging from 18’ to 27’, with some clubs offering even larger vessels. The fleets include deck boats, fishing boats, pontoons, cruisers, and watersports boats, allowing members to select the perfect boat for their adventure when making reservations.
Carefree Boat Club carefully tracks membership levels and boat availability to ensure there are enough boats for our members. We add boats as membership grows and monitor usage to determine which types of boats are most in demand.

Yes. As proud partners of the National Safe Boating Council, we ensure all members receive a training manual upon joining. Our 100% free training program includes a classroom session, followed by on-the-water instruction with the dockmaster. Training covers Carefree Boat Club’s processes, navigation, docking, and safety.
Absolutely. All boats undergo weekly inspections by Carefree Boat Club dock staff using a 50-point checklist, covering safety equipment, hull condition, electronics, and mechanical components.
If the breakdown is due to a mechanical issue or something under the club’s responsibility, Carefree Boat Club will arrange for towing at no cost to the member. If the incident is due to member error or negligence, the member will be responsible for towing expenses. To ensure peace of mind on the water, we strongly recommend all members maintain an active TowBoatUS membership. Towing services vary by location. Some clubs offer complimentary towing during business hours, while others require members to purchase separate towing coverage through Sea Tow, BoatUS, or other providers. Contact your local club for details.
